The Chaldean Community Foundation hosted its 5th Annual Awards Gala on Friday, September 22, 2023 at the Palazzo Grande in Shelby Township. More than 700 people attended, including dignitaries from around the state of Michigan, and special guests from Iraq.

During the program, the CCF honored Karam Bahnam with the Servant Leadership Award. Karam is a successful entrepreneur who has dedicated much of his time to helping others deepen their faith. Karam is a founding member of the Eastern Catholic Re-Evangelization Center (ECRC), an organization spearheaded by the Chaldean Catholic Diocese and his dedication to ECRC and other charitable endeavors have made a large impact on the Chaldean Catholic and broader communities.
