Make your voice heard and contribute to the development of the Michigan Plan on Aging. Share what it’s like to be an older Chaldean adult living in Michigan! In an effort to develop programs and services to support the health and well-being of Michigan’s senior Chaldean adults or caregivers, we want to learn about individual and community needs for community members who are 60 years or older.   • Cooking Chaldean-Dolma (CLASS IS FULL)

    Dolma (Stuffed Grape leaves) is a beloved staple in every Chaldean home — and now it’s your turn to master it. Join our interactive cooking class and learn how to prepare traditional dolma — stuffing and rolling grape leaves, onions, and other vegetables with a savory blend of rice, minced meat, and warm spices.  It’s the same beloved dish your mother or grandmother made for family gatherings, and now it’s your turn to carry on the tradition. In this step-by-step class: You'll learn traditional techniques passed down through generations. Each student will prepare their own 3 quart pot of dolma to take home and cook. We’ll cover stovetop cooking methods so your dolma comes perfect every time. Please bring your own 3 qt. pot to fill with your homemade dolma to take home and cook. Limited spots available!
