Office Clerk
The Chaldean Community Foundation (CCF) improves the stability, health, and wellness of those we serve through advocacy, acculturation, community development and cultural preservation.
The CCF is seeking an Office Clerk to join its Sterling Heights location. The ideal candidate is fluent in English and Arabic with an understanding of the Chaldean community. The Office Clerk will perform various routine clerical duties to support the organization.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
• Performs clerical duties including typing, filing, and completion of simple forms.
• Operates office machines including copiers, scanners, phone and voicemail systems, personal computers, and other standard office equipment.
• Serves as the backup receptionist for the front desk greeting clients and visitors.
• Assist the back office with answering phone calls as needed.
• Answers phones, directs calls to appropriate individuals, and prepares messages.
• Obtain general client information, logging information into spreadsheet.
• Assist the data entry team and perform general administrative and clerical support as needed.
• Copies, sorts, and files records related to office activities, and other matters.
• Receive and sort incoming mail and deliveries.
• Maintains filing systems either manually or electronically.
• Provide interpretation support as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
• Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
• Fluency in Arabic is required.
Physical Requirements
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
