The Skillman Foundation will award $1.1 million in grants to fortify long-term operating support for 11 children’s charities in the region, bringing the foundation’s support to the Michigan Central Station Children’s Endowment Initiative to $1.7 million.
Detroit-based Skillman Foundation plans to share news of the new round of grants Thursday during a dinner it’s hosting for those interested in education and youth as part of Detroit Homecoming events for native Detroiters who’ve returned to the city from other places to re-engage.
